Injections are one of the most common health-care procedures. Five to ten percent of some 16 billion injections administered worldwide each year are given for immunization.

As most of us already know, unsafe injections, repeated use of one syringe and/or unsafe practices in relation to immunization are not only responsible for cases of hepatitis B and C, HIV, and other serious and potentially lethal side effects suffered by vaccine recipients, but may also pose an occupational hazard to health providers and an environmental hazard to communities. Furthermore, unsafe injection practices can seriously impede the progress made by immunization programmes, and have a substantial effect on global immunization coverage.

As simple as the title says; with some friends on social media, we’re trying to campaign for the awareness of Safe Injections for Pakistan. Even after smoking three consecutive sticks I fail to imagine, let alone picture as to how would Hafiz Mughees Sajjad Butt be feeling- before surrendering his soul due to simultaneous clubbing- as his dear younger brother, his due responsibility to take care of and bring-back-home-safe, his cricket-mate, his bond-for-life little Muneeb Sajjad Butt had been brutally, barbarically beaten to death bleeding before his very eyes?

I had heard within I can’t blog this…

But I do have to blow-off. I don’t know why but I always have to…

These two young brothers from Mouza Buttar, Sialkot- Muneeb Sajjad Butt, 17, a student of 9th grade and his elder brother Hafiz Mughees Sajjad Butt, 19, of Intermediate, on a suspicious of armed robbery resulting in a murder near Haji Pura- were brutally clubbed to death by a heinous local mob consisting on 5/five amidst a circled crowd- and that’s just not it- catering also the shameless presence and endorsement of multiple law enforcement & rescue agencies i.e. Police and Rescue 1122!

Please be informed that both the brothers were killed on-spot while the Police men besides ensuring the due process of law, ensured their first-row presence amongst encircled crowd cold-heartedly listening to the helpless yet heart-tearing cries allowing the killing by not stopping the barbaric torture on both teenagers ‘slowly’ being dispatched to heavens, one after another. As the timeline of the footage keeps running while Muneeb is already dead and Mughees is being clubbed, several voices from the crowd even suggest bringing petrol to burn the brothers! Nobody even cared to raise a voice against tossing and further humiliation of the dead bodies… sadly!

I has always wondered if we have long lost the upholding of Amar bil ma’roof and Nahi an’il Munkir factors!

Also, while the tractor-trolley dragged both brothers’ dead-bodies around the city, it was escorted by a Police vehicle all the way to the square both Hafiz Mughees Sajjad Butt & Muneeb Sajjad Butt’s bodies were then hanged upside down. More disgustingly, the very tractor-trolley rode a police man too!!!

I believe they stood all so numb to such heinous  an act extreme brutality and shame because they are accustomed to practising it regularly!

This, my friends, took place in Pakistan and that too, in the city if Iqbal! My existence here is shattered and my association with a nation such people have acquaintance with is ashamed, so very much ever since. I feel much more insecure now, just like Maho had said!

Please note that I neither establish anywhere the innocence of both brother nor I reject the accusations upon them- of murdering Bilal and leaving three others wounded- as made by the mob while it clubbed them to death for the same. Because there were aired different versions ever since the news and because I was not there and I didn’t witness the context either, hence I must not benefit from this the murdered brothers for if I do, this wouldn’t be a fair write-up you’re reading! It is the matter of comprehensive investigation and then, courts of law! On my part and in my personal opinion, it would be too soon to weigh. Let the investigators and judiciary come up with the verdict and we shall see the black & white. (Protesters on roads, please remember conducting a fair demonstration and NOT influenced by emotions!)

What I condemn here in this writing of mine is not the ‘innocents killed’ but for the ‘humanity butchered‘! Thick or thin, it doesn’t matter whatsoever Mughees & Muneeb’s crime be, there is no reason, no court, no law on planet earth and beyond that allows and justifies such barbaric an act that disgusts not just the humanity but the very existence of Mr. Human itself! I condemn not only the mob but also the crowd for its impotency! Below, a line taken from an editorial published in a local English newspaper questions well;

“Is this what we are? Savages??? So utterly bereft of a speck of humanity that a crowd of ordinary men are passive spectators to public murder?“

Too much barbarism our society have inherited- esp. the lower middle class in suburbs that is hardly even educated- I don’t really know from where in deed!  May be, like some people suggest that such brutality has been taught by the Police (here, here, here, here, here and alas, here) & Army  (here) and some say that the continuous state neglect helped develop such extreme frustration resulting into violence, brutality and extremism but I believe- in my personal opinion- it is unfair to blame others for one’s own deficiencies, deprivations and misconducts.

In India, which is always highlighted for minority suppression, incidents of similar sort are often reported- I know of and possess footages of many- but not to this extent of barbaric extremism esp. to Hindus, in my knowledge at least. In India, it’s a different story because it mostly happens due to prevalent Religious & Racial Intolerance and that too for most of their religious scriptures and organizations uphold so. But the Sialkot brutality took place due to Human Intolerance, I must say which most of Pakistan nowadays is getting more at the verge of, by each day unfortunately! I so suggest that we the citizens should really look deep in to this matter rather than wasting time & energy in pessimist protests and negative criticism!

Anyway, how would these illiterate people know when they cannot even study the Holy Quran themselves hence follow the Maulvi’s version whatever it is, they just believe it for they can neither verify nor challenge it due to their own ignorance (well, that’s one of the major reasons religious extremism/terrorism still prevails in Pakistan!)… they don’t really care!

And neither do we; you & I WE!!! Because we can go on viewing all newspapers, websites, blogs and videos that add a spice to the criticism and condemn out aloud the incompetence of Government or System, but we can’t ourselves take an initiative to heal the wounded society! When it comes to clearing the mess we caused, we’re just too busy with our lives and jobs and friends and stuff to bother even a little for what’s our own and requires immediate attention!

Like the most of youth nowadays, we can go on blocking roads, disrupting traffic holding demonstrations protesting aloud ‘aggressively‘ demanding a tough lesson for the accused mob, but hardly could even a single voice be heard yelling for a righteous call for educating & promoting peace. Likewise, most of our loud media goes on bombarding the disgusting video 24/7 spreading yet-invisible chaos at the back of our mind, but there’s no talk-show held to discuss the cure for our very society for nothing else than what’s spicy and sells quick is all it’s (our premature media’s) concern. (Please acknowledge that the ridiculously repeated bombardment of these videos by our media hurdles bad our call for international donations in these critical times of national disaster; flood that is! I have also got in touch with the Federal Minister Rehman Malik on this who agreed to my stance and- I hope- would further advise the media power houses to stop such stupidities.)

Friends! criminals would inshaAllah and ultimately be punished like they’re supposed to, but shall their punishment eradicate such brutality, extremism and this barbarism we possess within?

You tell me, should we only seek for the toughest punishment, shall it end the pain you & I felt from this incident all for once?

Shall we do nothing about it and get immune towards such occurrings?

Well if you think so, we’d stand as just another face in the same crowd who equally participated in this lynching by not doing anything to stop it!

Lets be constructive and cure ourselves, save our own! Or tomorrow, it could be you and me to replace Mughees & Muneeb in another place, another happening!

Anyway, many thanks to Chief Justice of Pakistan for taking immediate notice and for his qualitative follow-up with the progress on the case, and then thanks to Chief Minister for honoring promised quick arrest and not sparing even the indirectly involved ones. Also, thanks to Rehman Malik for promising the justice to be served in it’s purest form i.e. ‘an eye for an eye‘ basis- he stated that the killers shall be hanged likewise, at the same place! Thanks for all these three heads for their very due and extraordinary follow-up that the mob of all the desperados has been arrested, also the Policemen have been turned in too, regardless of seniority though

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority has drafted a regulation called, “Monitoring and Reconciliation of Telephony Traffic Regulations, 2009”, and has asked industry to give input on said draft before September 16th, 2009.

As per intended regulation, all telecom service providers will install system at their own cost to make it possible for authority to monitor telephony traffic.

Regulation says that such a monitoring system should have at least following features

• Capability to monitor, control, measure and record traffic in real-time;

• Capability for complete signaling record, including but not limited for billing;

• Capability to accurately measure the quality of service;

• A complete list of the Pakistani customers; and

• Complete details of capacity leased by the licensee(s) to their customers.

Once regulated, this monitoring system will enable PTA to check and analyze voice and data traffic flowing in and out of a network, from inside and outside the country.

Draft says that purpose of this regulation is to monitor and enforce the accurate presentation of the total traffic terminated through networks to measure and record for billing verification, detect & control grey traffic, and determine the quality of licensed services. (First of all, Dialog Telecom, already working in Pakistan for the past 2.5-3 years in already incorporated with various intelligence agencies serving the same purpose, though limited to Cellular Service Provider until! Secondly,  I believe it’d lead to an Electronic Surveillance scam (and Interception) like that of Verint Systems (used to be called Comverse Infosys before AmDocs scandal) and AmDocs Spy Scandal (watch the video timeline from 5:00 onwards) linked to the 9-11 and Israeli Connection Give it a thought, already! We’re in very deed going to let the Americans (already present in Pakistan; FBI, CIA, CAII, Blackwater) all the information like the American Sponsored NADRA project!!!)

Telecom companies are apparently not happy with the situation. They didn’t comment over the issue, however, they showed their reservations over deploying additional system at their cost for multiple reasons.

On other hands, consumers have shown their reservations over monitoring of their voice and data calls. Their protest is very natural as no one would want anyone to hear his/her phone call – despite the fact that its not exclusively mentioned in draft that authority will intercept calls.

It merits mentioning here that PTA had proposed ICH (International Clearing House) last year for similar purpose; however, this regulation is more than what ICH originally was.

Government is apparently more interested in calculating the amount of minutes to well tax the companies instead of intercepting calls, as Interior Ministry already has exclusive rights to track and monitor voice traffic of the country.

Recently PTA had asked ISPs to monitor all data traffic and to block VoIP traffic, which didn’t get good response from the industry.

I still remember one of my trips to Mallam Jabba with family almost two decades ago in 1990. And I still remember another of my visits of the areas two years ago, last year and most recently, a couple of months ago! I feel like being there with them, I know them, been with them and I love their truthfulness, bravery, honor keeping and giving, hospitality, purity and what not! And YESSSS I disagree with and condemn the way Pathans are made jokes of. They are NOT Pakistani Sardars at all, its high time we should stop taking them as one!!! We much underestimate them and our doing so disgusts the glorious role of bravery and honor they have always offered to the nation and to the motherland!

Last evening we planned to get fried chicken delivered for dinner. I opened kfcpakistan.com (KFC Pakistan’s Official Website run in Pakistan by Cupola Pakistan Ltd.) so to see their online brochure for meal options. Instead of main page being displayed, there popped up a warning for the website ‘kfcpakistan.com‘ being malicious and that it could harm my computer. I had already been running Symantec Antivirus (always updated) but just to be on safe-hand, I also executed Trojan Guarder. I was content that it would protect me from any bug, worm, virus and Trojan whatsoever, so I clicked ‘ignore this warning‘ (dumbass me!).

The main page of kfcpakistan.com did open but simultaneously Symantec Antivirus popped up an alert window that told me of an ‘install.exe‘ to be caught and quarantined and deleted successfully from the location it was being executed. Still I was satisfied that since the virus has been notices and handled by Symantec Antivirus, there’s no need to be worried at all, anymore.

The funny thing is, mood was already changed and we had ordered Pizzas instead. Was delicious, ate ‘em all, gone baby gone! Afterwards, I kept working on Haqeeqat.Org, computer didn’t went off through the night, even after I went to sleep.

Today, there was nothing prompted nor anything unusual took place at all, I kept working as had to publish three posts. Did that well, still nothing appeared worth noticing. Afterwards, got busy having tea with my wife n family and shut down the computer. Some minutes later a friend called and told that Haqeeqat.Org wasn’t working and that there was some weird error displaying on front page. No other direct of indirect link worked either. I got back on computer, checked it myself and received the following error(s):

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘.’ in /xxx/xxxxx/public_html/index.php on line 17

I then entered the URL to administration area but the next page showed me the same error. I assumed it was some wordpress plugin error so I tried disabling some by moving some folders via my FTP client. It didn’t help either! Then, to my shock, as I tried opening rest of my blogs and CMS driven websites on the same server, everything was down, showing almost same errors! Static content but was working all like it should.

Since I couldn’t find a supportive clue on wordpress.org, I submitted a support request ticket to my web-host (hostgator) which reverted to me very promptly, as always, with more shocking information and access logs. It read:

“It appears that malicious code has been uploaded to your account via FTP using a compromised username and password. At this time, I have removed the malicious code from the account.

From our experience with malware of this nature, the user account passwords are compromised though viruses/malware located on your local computer. This malware sniffs out passwords used and stored by FTP programs located on the computer. In order to protect against future attack, you will need to run full virus and malware scans on your computers to ensure that they are clean. I recommend using multiple scanners as we have found that some scanners do not detect the malware. MalwareBytes ( http://www.malwarebytes.org ) and ComboFix ( http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix ) have been reported to be able to clean this malware. It is highly suggested that you also do the following…”

Hmmm… after having read the first two paragraphs, Mr. Colonel’s picture flashed at the back of my mind and I said to myself; WTF! …fcuk!!!

I logged onto my web-server’s control panel immediately, of course from my cell and changed the master account’s password(s), reset child accounts too. I quickly locked all executable files and software(s) on my computer using Folder Shield- a fool-proof folder protection (privacy) utility- so if the virus/worm/bug was contagious, my data would remain safe! I then removed all my websites’ shortcuts from my FTP client’s site manager, disabled the automated tasks, closed it and downloaded MalwareByte’s Anti-Malware 1.4, installed and the scan result then brought me the following in first go:

Registry Values Infected:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Services\del (Malware.Trace) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\id (Malware.Trace) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Desktop\host (Malware.Trace) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

Registry Data Items Infected:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\FirewallDisableNotify (Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

Files Infected:

C:\WINDOWS\Temp\wpv631250315064.exe (Trojan.Agent) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

C:\Documents and Settings\user-name\Application Data\wiaserva.log (Malware.Trace) -> Quarantined and deleted successfully.

What- in the Name of KFC- Does This Malware do to Your Online Presence?

Please note that it also makes full fledge use of your email client all by itself; by sending idk which emails to idk where (of course, to your contacts!)!

Now, Mr. Richard F.- Network Security Administrator at HostGator- had only repaired the static (.htm/.html) files as the bug up there infected each and every filename starting with index*, main* and default* be it a simple .htm/.html or a .php (database connected) file. The bug kept ruining the files all around my space… I’m not a PHP/MySQL programmer, I don’t even know the coding at all, the Object Oriented Programming F‘ed me three times already… until I changed the majors in my graduation; after admitting myself as a complete loser at O.O.P! And now the Kentucky F Chicken Fs me!!!

So, not fair moreover; that I had to download via FTP client each and every file mentioned in initial errors (yeah baby they kept increasing as I kept fixing, DB tables… first functions called is reported first, then appears the second untill 3249083294832489320849328409328th :@). Anyway, in each of these 4 Wordpress blogs directories, the following files were affected. Kindly note that the bug/worm/virus/asshole/sonofabitch/mofo/trojan overwrites a chunk of following files’ footer/bottom code with an iframe calling code of its own!

*( i’m mentioning it because if anybuddy ever searches for a query like such or get bitten by KFC Pakistan, this post would help em a lot, finding not only reasons to logically cursing the KFcukingC’s website:p but also with figuring out a solution for your Wordpress/CMS troubleshooting…)

How to Undo These Hurts?

Option 1. Now, you’d have to get hold of either the same version of new/clean/fresh file(s) your installation had OR (if you don’t have a backup, like I didn’t for 3 blogs) you’d first have to download your version of Wordpress (or your CMS’s) installation source (from here and/or from your CMS’s website) and replace each of the above files with the recently downloaded (clean) one!

Option 2. Otherwise, just fix the replaced/overwritten code at the bottom of above mentioned files IF you remember that or have in possession these files as a backup! If you don’t, read the above option, again :@

Option 3. If you have neither of the above, you can, delete everything else (after making a local/hdd copy, for just-in-case scenario) in your blog directory (only for wordpress stand-alone installations) than .htaccess and config.php. Download your version of Wordpress installation, unzip it and upload everything to the same directory you just cleaned that useless sh!t from!

• First back up all your folders and files from the root. (directory of your wordpress installation)

• Delete wp-admin folder! (Yeah it’s alright, do that or leave my post alone, get the hell outta here!)

• Delete wp-includes folder! (yea’haan, do that)

• Delete all the .php files from the root, except config.php and .htaccess files.

• Upload (the clean/fresh version of) everything you deleted back to the root folder.

• Send me a thank-you-so-very-very-very-much note for making it work for you!

Please note: This solution is also for the ones who can’t get rid of the following sort of fatal error messages, mostly appear in Wordpress 2.8.x installations/updates:

” Fatal error: Class ‘WP_Widget’ not found in /xx/xxxx/wp-includes/default-widgets.php on line 15 “

Last but not least, I’d been using this awesome life-saver plugin on Haqeeqat.Org since I first installed the wordpress blogging system on it; WP-DBManager! It once saved  Haqeeqat.Org from a huge hack already! This time, I couldn’t be saved only because the administrative end was also affected. BUT, I’d still recommend you to always keep a backup with you, wherever you are, whatever you do and whether or not you do it yourself! I mean, you can also schedule a backup via email!

This young lady, a decent chap, @hinstance (Hina Aman) played much better a role by not being just another face in the crowd! Jinnah was eldest among seven siblings born to Mithibai and Jinnahbhai Poonja.
He had six siblings ,brothers Ahmad Ali, Bunde Ali, and Rahmat Ali, and sisters Maryam, Fatima and Shireen.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah married, at his mother’s urging, a distant cousin (Emibai from Paneli village) when he was 16 and Emibai was only 14. The marriage was forced on his by his mother as she was afraid that if he went to England, he might end-up marrying an English girl. They hardly lived together as Jinnah sailed from India soon after his marriage and Emibai died within few weeks after that.

Rattanbai Petit / Ruttie (”The Flower of Bombay”) was the second wife of Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Rattanbai converted to Islam and adopted the name Mariam. The marriage took place on on April 19, 1918 but unfortunately their marriage failed with in few years.

Mohammad Ali Jinnah was born on 25 December 1876, Sunday. Though there was some discrepancy about this date, but now it is official accepted date. Through out Pakistan there is holiday on this date commemorate his birthday.

At the age of six he starting learning Gugrati at home and elementary education in primary school

He was admitted in the Sind Islamic School in Karachi.

His parent was migrated from Karachi to Bombay, where he was admitted in other primary school. He was very fond of horse riding at this young age.

He got married to Emi Bai. He went to England to study Law, he stayed at 35 Rasl Road Kingtan

His wife Emi Bai died. After some months His beloved mother also passed away

He become the advocate of high court in Bombay and begin his practice. He was the first Muslim to become barrister in the high court

His second wife, Ratin Bai passed away. Rejection of Nehru Report which has no benefit for the Muslim living in Hindustan. Quaid presented his fourteen points. Quaid and Ghandi met in a meeting and exchange their views for the future of Hindustan

Round table conference was held in London and Quaid was representative for the Muslims in Hindustan

1937

Alama Iqbal wrote a letter to Quaid in which he gave a hint for the separate nation for the Muslims of Hindustan

1940

23rd March 1940, Yearly meeting of Muslim League was held in Lahore, Where Quaid addressed large number of Muslim and said “ In all those areas where Muslim community are in majority should be united to one as separate sovereign independence state. Where Muslims are minority all necessary steps should be taken to protect their religion, life, culture, economy and rights.” In this meeting only word Separate Nation was used which later changed to PAKISTAN. Ghandi and Raj Gopal strongly contradicted this view of Quaid

1941

In an address to Punjab Muslim Student Federation he asked student to get together to have separate nation, and separate nation require land to LIVE. He convey the same message to the student of Ali Ghar Muslim University

In an address to All India Muslim Student Federation once again he emphasis on the LAND, and ask the student to “work, work and only work

Quaid Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah celebrated his 64th Birthday.

1943

Person named Rafiq Sabar attacked Quaid, in an attempted to murder him, luckily Quaid manage to escaped this attack

1945

In an address to Muslim community in Peshawar he said “We don’t have any friend, we don’t trust English and Hindu people, we have to fight against both of them even if they get together”. He also said “A Muslim believe in one God, one Book and one Prophet, therefore I ask the Muslims to get together under ONE flag of Muslim League

1946

In Shemala conference in asked the opposition leader to accept Pakistan, which is the only solution of Hindustan.

1947

In a sporting ground of Calcuta, a flag was presented to Quaid by Muswar Zein-al-Abidn with crescent and star on it, was embroidered by Riqba Sultana. Quaid wave the flag front of thousands of audience and accepted it as national flag of Pakistan. 5th April, Lord Mount Batten came as viceroy of Hind and meet with Quaid Azam. 3rd June Mount Batten announce the division of Hindustan. latter Quaid deliver his speech in a radio and said I thank the God who helped us, and may He strength our foot step at this critical point so that all may go well.” At the end of his speech, after some pause he said:

PAKISTAN ZINDABAD

2nd June, Quaid inform the Mount Batten that due to some problems he himself will take the oath as Governor.

14th August, at night the independence was announced, and Quaid took the oath as first Governor General of Pakistan. First council of Minister was formed with only seven minister in it, Liaqat Ali Khan become the first Prime minister of Pakistan.

8th November, In a address to army he said “I want the nation to live with UNITY, STRENGTH, and DISCIPLINE

1948

In an address to students of Islamia College Peshawar he said “Demand of Pakistan was not only piece of land but to have such a experimental room where we can live with our wills and according to Islam”

21 March, Quaid said URDU well be the national language of Pakistan.

14 August, Nation celebrated the first independence day on this occasion Quaid address the nation I congratulate you all on this day. God have provided us with many of His blessing. Foundation of the country have been laid down, now it your duty to do the construction work, and make your best to better. God will help you

11 September, Because of hard working Quaid’s health became very weak, it was difficult for him to breath his color become yellow, at 4.15 am he was brought to Karachi and than at 10.25 pm he Passed away. Many paid their attribute to this historic person who shall be remember in history of Pakistan, for ever. (may his soul rest in peace)

My message to you all is of hope, courage and confidence. Let us mobilize all our resources in a systematic and organized way and tackle the grave issues that confront us with grim determination and discipline worthy of a great nation.

No nation can rise to the height of glory unless your women are side by side with you.

No struggle can ever succeed without women participating side by side with men.

Our object should be peace within, and peace without. We want to live peacefully and maintain cordial friendly relations with our immediate neighbours and with the world at large.

Pakistan not only means freedom and independence but the Muslim Ideology which has to be preserved, which has come to us as a precious gift and treasure and which, we hope other will share with us.

That freedom can never be attained by a nation without suffering and sacrifice has been amply borne out by the recent tragic happenings in this subcontinent.

There are two powers in the world; one is the sword and the other is the pen. There is a great competition and rivalry between the two. There is a third power stronger than both, that of the women.

Think 100 times before you take a decision, But once that decision is taken, stand by it as one man.

We are victims of evil customs. It is a crime against humanity that our women are shut up within the four walls of the houses as prisoners. There is no sanction anywhere for the deplorable condition in which our women have to live.

We should have a State in which we could live and breathe as free men and which we could develop according to our own lights and culture and where principles of Islamic social justice could find free play.

With faith, discipline and selfless devotion to duty, there is nothing worthwhile that you cannot achieve.

You have to stand guard over the development and maintenance of Islamic democracy, Islamic social justice and the equality of manhood in your own native soil.

We must work our destiny in our own way and present to the world an economic system based on true Islamic concept of equality of manhood and social justice. We will thereby be fulfilling our mission as Muslims and giving to humanity the message of peace which alone can save it and secure the welfare, happiness and prosperity of mankind” Speech at the opening ceremony of State Bank of Pakistan, Karachi July 1, 1948

Pakistan is proud of her youth, particularly the students, who are nation builders of tomorrow. They must fully equip themselves by discipline, education, and training for the arduous task lying ahead of them.

I shall always be guided by the principles of justice and fairplay without any, as is put in the political language, prejudice or ill-will, in other words, partiality or favouritism. My guiding principle will be justice and complete impartiality, and I am sure that with your support and co-operation, I can look forward to Pakistan becoming one of the greatest nations of the world.

The Fourteen Points of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah

1. The form of the future constitution should be federal with the residuary powers vested in the provinces.

2. A uniform measure of autonomy shall be granted to all provinces.

3. All legislatures in the country and other elected bodies shall be constituted on the definite principle of adequate and effective representation of minorities in every province without reducing the majority in any province to a minority or even equality.

4. In the Central Legislature, Muslim representation shall not be less than one third.

5. Representation of communal groups shall continue to be by means of separate electorate as at present, provided it shall be open to any community at any time to abandon its separate electorate in favor of a joint electorate.

6. Any territorial distribution that might at any time be necessary shall not in any way affect the Muslim majority in the Punjab, Bengal and the North West Frontier Province.

7. Full religious liberty, i.e. liberty of belief, worship and observance, propaganda, association and education, shall be guaranteed to all communities.

8. No bill or any resolution or any part thereof shall be passed in any legislature or any other elected body if three-fourth of the members of any community in that particular body oppose such a bill resolution or part thereof on the ground that it would be injurious to the interests of that community or in the alternative, such other method is devised as may be found feasible and practicable to deal with such cases.

9. Sindh should be separated from the Bombay Presidency.

10. Reforms should be introduced in the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) and Baluchistan on the same footing as in the other provinces.

11. Provision should be made in the constitution giving Muslims an adequate share, along with the other Indians, in all the services of the state and in local self-governing bodies having due regard to the requirements of efficiency.

12. The constitution should embody adequate safeguards for the protection of Muslim culture and for the protection and promotion of Muslim education, language, religion, personal laws and Muslim charitable institution and for their due share in the grants-in-aid given by the state and by local self-governing bodies.

13. No cabinet, either central or provincial, should be formed without there being a proportion of at least one-third Muslim ministers.

14. No change shall be made in the constitution by the Central Legislature except with the concurrence of the State’s contribution of the Indian Federation.
