All Praise Belongs to Allah (Subhana’hu wa T’aala), and May the Salah and Salam of Allah (Subhana’hu wa T’aala) be upon our beloved Messenger (Peace and Blessing be Upon Him).

We write to you to enlighten you on the issue of Terrorism. The events of 9/11 happened well over 8 years ago, but consistently the topic props up again and again trying to making us Muslims feel more ‘guilt stuck’ than we already do if as though collectively we are all responsible. We cannot conclude that it was indeed the Muslim ‘fundamentalists’ who were responsible for 9/11, an article during that period stated Jewish extremists being the culprits as many of the high ranking officials avoided going to work that day and others sold off their stocks! It has also been claimed that the US Government has orchestrated the attacks against their own citizens as a prerequisite to a wage war against Islam. They do this to win over the hearts of the American people and to win over the minds of Muslims worldwide as has occurred to public speakers the likes of Salman al-Oudah, Yasir Qadhi, Yaser Birjas, Waleed Basyouni, Tawfique Chowdhury and the many more .

What is rather sad is that we are never bombarded with articles and speeches by our Muslim brothers about the oppression and injustice committed by the West in Pakistan, Iraq, Afghanistan, Chechnya, Kashmir, Palestine, Somalia and elsewhere, nor do our speakers distinguish that whether it is the West doing all the killing directly or not, the bullets are funded and supplied by the Western powers. The death toll of is quite possibly more than 3 million Muslims over the last two decades, an asian news channel reported this week how US soldier gang raped a 14 year old Iraqi girl, they took pictures of it, her eyes closed, they later killed her and her family. This is one of thousands of incidences which go untold on mainstream news.

It’s altogether easy to believe news from CNN against Muslims is true though unfounded.  If you travel through the East or in the lands of the alleged perpetrators you will get to know what was missing from the news stories. We should ask ourselves when will it be that our Muslim ‘representatives’ will be bold enough to debate the roots of the problem leading to so called Muslim ‘fundamentalist’ activity? Why is it that the likes of the former Mayor of London Ken Livingston has to speak up in our defence? In all this whenever we are tested by Allah (Subhana’hu wa T’aala) we believe this is good for us as such instances separate the modernists from the ones who are firm upon their ‘Aqeedah (creed) and follow Qur’an and Sunnah.

A question to ask is why would these people commit such attacks and target the World Trade Centre? A country is as powerful as its economic trade. And economic trade fuels its military might, which in turn ensures its status to govern and rule over a country. Money can become scarce but through trading and commerce a government can generate more wealth and buy more weaponry and sustain a war. To make one of these factors collapse therefore is to destabilize a part of the triangle, a method practiced by US, UK, Israel and others. This is the perception that we conceive as to why target the Trade Centre, and in War there is casualty in both sides. This is the centre point which logic may conclude funds the atrocities, we have all witnessed for years in many countries by the hands of the Western military, and funds US military bases all over the world including Saudi Arabia, a presence which causes disunity between the people of those lands. Is democracy more just than the law of Allah (Subhana’hu wa T’aala)? Would the Rightly guided Caliphs permit this Big Brother style bases, a state within a state to govern the Muslim and mankind under man made law (this is clearly a dangerous issue within Aqeedah)?

We however ourselves do not promote Terrorism nor support Terrorism, and if labeled extreme, then like Dr. Zakir Naik state in acknowledgement yes we are extreme- “Extremely kind, Extremely Generous, Extremely courteous,…..And George Bush is the Biggest Terrorist”. If we are merciful towards mankind Allah (Subhana’hu wa T’aala) will be merciful towards us. We will like to enlighten you with a good speech by Dr. Zakir Naik on this topic in this 4 part video entitled “Is Terrorism a Muslim Monopoly?” which we found very interesting. About Dr. Zakir Naik’s Debate: Is Terrorism a Muslism Monopoly?

Took place in Mumbai in front of a jam packed crowd, at the Shanmukhananda auditorium on 11th Sept 2006. He also gave a similar lecture at Jeddah in the last week of September, 2006. Dr. Zakir Naik said that historic records proved that a large number of terrorist acts in the 20th and 21st century were committed by non-Muslims. The so-called global phenomenon of “Islamic terrorism/militant Islam” was a creation of the western governments and their media outlets, he said.

“Politics lies at the heart of labeling Muslims across the globe as perpetrators of terror acts,” he added.

Dr. Zakir, who is one of the Muslim world’s leading and most prolific speakers, quoted from the scriptures of other religions and proved that associating killing with Islam is incorrect.

“It says in the Book of Numbers that whoever worships other than God should be killed,” he said, referring to the Bible, yet such militant verses were conveniently ignored by the Western media.

“In every religion there are black sheep and the media keep putting these people forward. This is a media conspiracy and a way of pushing people away from Islam.” he added.

Dr. Zakir Naik said, “No religion encourages terrorist acts or violence. The word ‘Islam’ itself means ‘Peace, obtained by submitting yourself to the Almighty’. Anyone, be it Muslim or non-Muslim, who kills an innocent Muslim or a non-Muslim, kills the entire humanity. However, Islam goes a step further to say that if one saves innocent lives, the whole of humanity is saved. Injustice is the root cause of terrorism…”

He continued, “Palestinians are called terrorists just because they are fighting to get their land back.” By citing examples of LTTE (in Sri Lanka), IRA (in UK), Lord’s Salvation Army, which trains the young children to conduct terrorist attacks, and many other non-Muslim terrorist outfits he further said that, the lives claimed by these outfits are more than the ones by the Muslim terrorists.

Dr. Zakir said Naxalites/Maoists across India and the LTTE in Sri Lanka were non- Muslim terror organizations, which had had developed pan regional bases beyond national boundaries. Other such non-Muslim terror outfits included the United Liberation Front of Asom, National Democratic Front of Bodoland and All Tripura Tiger Force in the Northeast, Naik noted.

Drawing on international examples, Dr. Zakir said that the Japanese Red Army, Lord’s Salvation Army and the ETA in Spain were also non-Islamic in character and composition.

“So nothing is more removed from truth as to suggest that Muslims have monopolized terrorism,” said Dr. Naik. He said the Irish Republican Army, which was considered to be terrorist group, has a history of 100 years of violence against the British, but the British government doesn’t seem to be scared about them as they are about radical Islamic groups.

Besides, he also mentioned, “Even a single killing by a Muslim is condemned by Islam, whatsoever the reasons.”

On the Media, Judiciary and Politicians

Dr. Zakir appreciated the Indian media for being unbiased and upright while reporting the communal riots. He further expressed that it is the plot of the Western media to destroy Muslims. He also said that the media controlled by the political authorities is biased and does not portray the truth or reality. He stated, “Islam does not justify using wrong means to reach the right goals. People should not take the law in their hands.”

“India has seen maximum number of communal riots in recent years. Politicians have been using the ‘Divide and Rule Policy’ to secure their vote banks. However, the masses should not get instigated by them. Terrorism is a monopoly of politicians. People, regardless of their religion, wish to live harmonious lives, but politicians feed the feeling of hatred amongst them, ” he opined while speaking about the role of politicians in the society today.

“We should learn how to turn the tables and convey the real meaning,” said Dr. Zakir, while calling on Muslims to dispel the media’s vilifying of Muslims and the importance of having Muslim television channels and newspapers.

We are watching it happen in the streets. The recurring nightmare has become a grim, new reality for the people of Pakistan. After watching the horrors of the U.S. invasions and occupations of Iraq and neighboring Afghanistan for 8 years, the “war on terror” has finally arrived in The Land of the Pure. Obama is fulfilling his campaign promise to Pakistan. The sudden arrival of U.S. marines, U.S. military Hummers, the hired killers of Blackwater, houses barricaded for U.S. personnel in Islamabad and the construction of the world’s largest U.S. “Embassy” are terrorizing this nation of 180 million people. The U.S. slaughter and destruction in Iraq and neighboring Afghanistan for the last 8 years warn them of what may lie in store for them, their families, their land.

The U.S. Marines

Until this landing of U.S. forces, the nation’s spokesman for Foreign Affairs had been denying that 1000 U.S. marines were on their way to Islamabad. The thousand marines are now in the capital city of Islamabad. Some of them may be quietly slipping into Balochistan where the presence of JSOC (Joint Special Operations Command) have been reported by foreign journalists. But most are here to defend what will be the largest U.S. embassy/fortress in the world, now under construction and to spearhead the invasion and occupation.

Costs to the U.S. Taxpayer

The total cost for housing and and general support for the marines alone will be US$112.5 million. US Ambassador Anne W. Patterson said the money is allocated as follows: “$5 million was for Marine quarters, $53.5 for housing infrastructure, $18 million for improvement of general services office area, and $36 million for temporary duty quarters and community support facilities.”

In Patterson’s explanation of the massive expansion of the U.S. Embassy she talked about 4 Billion (that’s with a “B”) dollars:

Ambassador Patterson did not clarify whether the $4 Billion covers the construction which will make this embassy the largest in the world. When this construction is seen in context and coordination with the new level of U.S. occupation of Pakistan, it looks more like a permanent military base than an embassy for running military and covert operations not only in Pakistan but also in the region.

Weapons and Hummers

Eye witnesses and informed journalists have been reporting sightings of U.S. personnel in Islamabad for the past week or so, but now they are seen moving freely throughout the capital. The law (Section 144) provides that Pakistanis who own guns are not permitted to carry them in Islamabad. But U.S. personnel are showing Pakistanis that they are above the law as they openly brandish their weapons. It has also been confirmed that 3,000 U.S. military Hummers, locked and loaded are awaiting dispatch in Karachi’s Port Qasim. For millions of Pakistanis news of these Hummers conjures up images of U.S. troops charging through the streets of Iraqi cities, armed to the teeth, terrifying and often killing unarmed civilians.

Blackwater and the CIA

Pakistanis have known about the 300 U.S. military “advisers” lodged in Tarbela. But news of the arrival of the notorious Blackwater mercenaries in addition to the thousand U.S. marines are riveting their attention. In Pakistan, Blackwater is trading its tainted name for a telling name “Xe Worldwide”, – the name behind which these paid killers are now hiding.

Also, last week, Creative Associates International Inc (CAII), a CIA front, has been operating in Peshawar. They have now sealed off a road and set up shop near the houses of senior Pakistani officials in Islamabad, directly across from a school.

Dr. Shireen M. Mazari is a scholar and commentator on Strategic Studies and Political Science from Pakistan. She has a Ph.D. from Colombia University and was Director General of Institute of Strategic Studies in Islamabad, Pakistan and former Chairperson of Department of Defense and Strategic Studies at the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad. She is critical of the relationship the Pakistan government has with the United States and India. Speaking for an opposition political party (Tehreek-e-Insaaf), Dr. Shireen Mazari speaks about the new arrival of U.S. forces in Pakistan:

The Pearl Continental, a luxury hotel in Peshawar was bombed on June 9, 2009. The U.S. routinely blames these attacks on Muslim terrorists. The U.S. has also routinely sabotaged peace agreements between the Pakistan government and various resistance groups in Pakistan. Attacks like this are used to justify the current invasion and occupation by the United States.

Given little attention in the corporate media, Peshawar’s Pearl Continental Hotel was bombed on June 9, 2009. At the time of the bombing, Pakistani media reported officially that it was housing U.S. personnel at the time but did not mention Blackwater. However, Blackwater’s name began to surface in rumours and unofficial reports after the Peshawar bombing.

On August 5, 2009, Ahmed Quraishi, political analyst, columnist and independent owner of a news website reported on the insertion of U.S. Marines, Blackwater, the CIA and military hardware into Pakistan:

Meanwhile, when asked about the expansion of the embassy, U.S. Ambassador Anne W. Patterson was “visibly shaken” and replied, “I’m speechless. To spy on Pakistan we don’t need a big US embassy.” Quickly recovering, she added, “And we don’t need to spy either.” Patterson went on to say that Pakistan could turn into a “family station” – whatever that means to a U.S. colonial bureaucrat.

Ahmed further explains the CIA’s cover for the Blackwater mercenaries:

Keep in mind that Dr. Shireen Mazari who is in a position to know, stated flatly, “CAII’s Craig Davis who was deported has now returned to Peshawar!”

But Ahmed Quraishi explains the denial by the U.S. Embassy:

Finally, Ahmed discusses a U.S. diplomat met secretly with an Indian diplomat inside Pakistan, knowing full well that India is considered to be an enemy state of Pakistan:

In addition, many U.S. sponsored NGO’s are working to create news reports in mainstream media which are pro-U.S. For this purpose, many Pakistani analysts, retired generals, businessmen, journalists, and academics are being recruited. As Ahmed Quraishi said, “this NGO is not an NGO”, i.e. some Non Governmental Organizations operate under the control and direction of governments who use them for covert operations in foreign countries and fund them surreptitiously.

Conclusion

It’s clear that the current government has given full privileges to the US. They neither know how, nor want to draw a line against U.S. interference in Pakistani affairs. To put it bluntly, they are surrendering the sovereignty of Pakistan to a foreign power. Dr. Shireen Mazari says, “Whatever the US embassy gives out … the terrified Pakistani leadership echoes.” The objectives of the U.S. are clear: Deeper U.S. penetration will result in the destabilisation of Pakistan, leading to destabilization of the entire region. These U.S. military installations also strengthening their encirclement of Iran. The Pakistani political opposition parties are lip stuck at all these developments. The main reason for their silence is that they are as corrupt as the ruling PPP. No political party in Pakistan is in the mood to resist US hegemony. The Pakistan Army no longer shows any interest in directly interfering with political decisions. After the disastrous eight years under the military dictatorship of Musharraf, the people are also not ready for the Pakistan military to intervene in the political life of the country. The TTP terrorists have just been brought under control – barely. Now millions of Pakistanis are terrified by their new, unwelcome guests from the west – the U.S. terrorists. We will now have to learn to tolerate and survive under this growing and increasingly dangerous U.S. colonization of Pakistan.

Today they have accomplished the most important piece of legislation. They did it religiously, without wasting a breath, and in complete harmony, government and opposition.

Pakistani politicians today amended a law that required all candidates for the federal and provincial parliaments to be educated, as in graduates, having completed 12 years of formal education.

A ‘dictator’ called Pervez Musharraf had put in place this condition. How outrageous of him, that military ruler. How dare he!

By insisting that the rulers of the country be educated, the ‘dictator’ offended the feudal landlord-politicians of the country.

Thing is, these landlord-politicians now have educated progeny that has started making its own beeline for parliament seats.

In a decade or two our parliament will be a ‘graduate assembly’ anyway.

So why the rush to pass this amendment?

The reason is that the ‘old guard’ among the landlord-politicians continue to be around and in large numbers; uncouth feudal landlords without degrees and, may I also say, pedigrees. [I have more respect for the tribal landlords of Balochistan because at least they are genuine. The rest of the Pakistani feudal landlords are fakes: All of them claim lineage from our great Prophet! And hence the right to own large pieces of land where they are also entitled to enslave people for generations! By the way, the Arabs are really offended at this large number of self-claimed descendants of our Prophet among Pakistan's landlord-politicians. One Arab friend of mine came to Islamabad last year and asked me this, 'Wait a minute, the Prophet was an Arab. How come all his progeny is in Pakistan! And that too inside the federal parliament!].

Long live Pakistani democracy [until the next military 'dictator', which looks soon by the way things are going.]
